100% uptime (how-to)

Let me take this opportunity to discuss that we have been offering 100% UPTIME solutions as a standard feature for a few years now. All clients that pay $14.95 or higher per month can take advantage of this service for FREE. You can otherwise obtain this as an add-on service for your own site or client sites for $2.50 per month/each.

Clients already using this service are completely unaware if/when an outage occurs because traffic to their site rerouted automatically to another datacenter.

What would you need to do to enjoy that peace of mind also?

You must change the DNS at your registrar and we then host your website on its current server and ALSO host it on another server "just in case." We utilize a specialized DNS monitoring service that checks your site every 2-4 minutes and if it cannot reach your web site for any reason, traffic automatically switches to your 2nd server site, hosted entirely in a separate datacenter. * You are allocated 250mb at the backup website.

Some outage are server specific, as in the server's power supply fails. Other outages are datacenter or network specific, as in a router hardware failure. Others are externally caused. By having a backup website hosted in a datacenter that is geographically diverse from the first one, you can successfully bypass catastrophic outages that may even be regional in nature.

Once again, I urge you to take advantage of this service. We are the only known web host that has perfected this service and offers it as a free or low-cost add-on. I assure you that we, like all web hosts, aim for 100% uptime all the time. Small equipment failures are the normal cause of outages - power supplies or hard drive failures, which usually can be quickly replaced and the server returned to service - but the BEST way to keep your site online, all the time is by using this 2 site system with specialty DNS. Outages are then measured in minutes, usually 3 to 6 minutes as the traffic reroutes.

Any questions? Let us know. If you wish to utilize 100% uptime solution, please contact us and we'll get started right away.
